An obvious question deserves answering first: why does a site called "ECO4 Scheme Wales" exist when ECO4 has ended?
Because the searches didn't end
Thousands of Welsh households still search for ECO4 every month — it was the best-known energy scheme name in Britain for four years. Those searches now land on two kinds of page: out-of-date ones still promising applications to a closed scheme, and lead-harvesting ones happy to keep the confusion alive. We hold this domain to be the third kind: the page that says clearly that ECO4 closed on 31 March 2026, and then does something useful — explains that Wales, uniquely, kept its own scheme running, and maps every live route for Welsh homes.
What we publish
Plain-language guides to the funding that actually applies in Wales in 2026: Nest and the Warm Homes Programme, the Boiler Upgrade Scheme as it works in Wales, heat pumps in Welsh housing stock, the off-gas rural picture, and solar funding without the myths. Every scheme claim is checkable against gov.wales, gov.uk, Ofgem or MCS sources, and we would rather understate than oversell — Welsh readers have been oversold to quite enough.
How the site earns
Through introductions. If you use the funding check and want a survey or quote, we connect you with one vetted, MCS-certified installer covering your county, and may receive a fee for that introduction. We do not sell enquiries to multiple buyers, we do not collect phone numbers, and the guides are free whether or not you ever want an introduction. If we cannot help — for instance, when the right answer is simply "apply to Nest directly" — we say so and link the official route.
Who runs it
The site is operated by SEO Dons Ltd (Company No. 16766013, registered at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ), publisher of a network of UK energy funding guides and partner to accredited installers across Wales and England.
